RMCS - Sulfur Resistant Thick Film Chip Resistor |
Sulfur contamination of thick film resistors is becoming a more significant problem for a variety of end products. In highly industrialized areas, where electronic devices and circuits may encounter sulfur in the presence of oils, lubricants, gaskets, hoses, and atmospheric gases, finding sulfur-resistant resistors can be challenging. Finding a resistor with the ideal power and voltage rating is even more difficult. Stackpole recently increased the voltage rating of RMCS0603 sulfur-resistant thick film chip resistors to 75V to allow them to be used for a wider range of application requirements. The RMCS series offers a low-cost sulfur resistance option with excellent sulfur resistance and a maximum resistance offset of less than 0.5% as measured by the ASTM-B-809-95 sulfur flower test.
